Why did you become a teacher?
I wanted to become a teacher because I am driven to help students grow. I want to be a positive influence in students’ lives and contribute to their development—not just academically, but socially and emotionally.
What’s one thing you’d love for KTEC families to know about you?
I am going into my 8th year of teaching and have worked in a variety of positions including 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade. I also had the amazing opportunity to teach 3K in Brussels, Belgium and have a love of travel!
I have a husband, Dominic, and together we have a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Daisy. We also have a puppy at home, Snoopy, who we love to snuggle and play with. When I’m not at school, I’m reading, playing tennis, or spending time with my family.
I am so excited to take on this new role of 2nd grade teacher and create an inclusive, engaging, and fun environment for my students to learn and grow in!
