Why did you become a teacher?
From a young age, I was inspired by the teachers who nurtured my love of reading and sparked my curiosity about the world around me. Their influence stayed with me and even after college, my passion for learning new things continued. That’s what led me to a career in education. As a lifelong learner myself, I strive to model curiosity, resilience and a growth mindset in my classroom. My goal is to help all students feel confident and empowered in their problem solving and learning. I believe that when students feel supported and inspired, they are more likely to learn, take risks, and reach their full potential.
What’s one thing you’d love for KTEC families to know about you?
I enjoy spending time with my kids, Ryan and Emily and walking my silly dog, Nala. My favorite hobbies are being out on the lake on my boat, fishing and spending time in nature.
