Why did you become a teacher?

I believe that setting a strong academic and innovative foundation for students is a key competent to their success in the future. I strive to secure strong and healthy roots for each kindergartner by always making them feel welcomed, valued, and safe. From there, they can build their strengths and flourish; knowing they will always be supported.

What’s one thing you’d love for KTEC families to know about you?

One thing about me is that I am the sixth out of seven children. All of my siblings are my best friends. Growing up in a big family has taught me many things like patience, empathy, and compassion. The loudness and chaos is home to me, which is why kindergarten is my favorite! Of course, I value structure and routine in the classroom setting as well; it just all is about balance.

I have a husband, Aaron, whom I have been married to for 17 years. Together we have two daughters, Ava (16) and Nora (12). We also have a Golden Doodle puppy, Fozzie, who is about to turn a year old.

I am so excited to be apart of the KTEC family!
