Airielle Hodges

English Language Learner Support

Airielle Hodges has known she wanted to be a teacher since she was a little girl. Growing up with four younger brothers, she was the one running the game of school, and in doing so, she learned early that even kids from the same family can need very different things. That lesson has shaped her approach ever since. She holds a Master of Education with Principal and Director of Instruction Licenses from National Louis University, a B.A. in Communication and Elementary Education from UW-Parkside, and an English as a Second Language License. She most recently served as an ESL teacher at Tremper High School in Kenosha and has been recognized as a PLTW Master Teacher and a 2023 Spark Award winner.

In her classroom, Airielle sees herself as a facilitator rather than just an instructor. Her goal is to create a student-centered environment where learners feel safe to ask questions, take risks, and discover knowledge for themselves. Outside the classroom, she served as a parent coordinator for a 2024 theatrical production of The Addams Family.

At home, Airielle lives with her husband, two sons, and their Black Lab, Oreo. Outside of school, she enjoys running outdoors and exploring new coffee spots.
