KTEC Schools of Innovation:
Building a New Home for the Future of Learning
A New Chapter in Innovation and Education
KTEC Schools of Innovation is proud to announce the next big step in our journey: the purchase and renovation of the former Pick ’n Save building at 1901 63rd Street in Kenosha. The $5 million investment marks a major milestone for KTEC as we prepare to move our 4K–12 school from its current location at 7400 39th Avenue to the new campus by fall 2026. Construction is being led by local partners, with Findorff serving as the general contractor and Partners in Design, a Kenosha-based architectural firm, overseeing the project design.
This exciting expansion reflects KTEC’s ongoing commitment to providing a STEM-focused, college and career preparatory pathway that equips students to succeed in an ever-changing world.

A Permanent Home Designed for Innovation
The 56,000-square-foot facility will serve as KTEC’s permanent home, replacing approximately 40,000 square feet currently leased at our existing site. The new campus will feature modern, purpose-built learning environments designed to inspire creativity, collaboration, and hands-on learning.
Planned renovations include:
These updates will create a future-ready campus that continues KTEC’s tradition of integrating industry partnerships, cutting-edge technology, and real-world applications into every level of education.
A Vision Fueled by Partnership
KTEC is chartered through the University of Wisconsin, and this next chapter is made possible through strong collaboration with community and industry partners who share the school’s commitment to preparing students for the careers and opportunities of tomorrow. KTEC continues to build strong partnerships with global and local industries and organizations, including Snap-on, Festo, Lincoln Electric, and many others, to prepare students for high-demand careers in science, technology, engineering, and manufacturing.
“This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for all of our students,” said Angela Andersson, CEO and Executive Director of KTEC. “This new campus is being made possible because of the incredible partnerships we’ve built with industry and education. Together, we’re ensuring that our students have access to the tools, training, and inspiration they need to become the innovators of the future.”
Investing in Kenosha County’s Future
The former Pick ’n Save store, which closed in 2017, will soon transform into a vibrant hub for STEM learning and community engagement. This investment strengthens KTEC’s ability to deliver innovative education while contributing to Kenosha’s growth and redevelopment.
As KTEC continues to expand, the school remains focused on its mission: educating the innovators of tomorrow, today.
Be part of the future. Be part of KTEC.
