KTEC High School is sharing the release of our second Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) School Report Card.

This annual update gives our community a snapshot of how we are growing and where we are focused as we continue building a high quality, future ready high school experience.

Our rating remains “Meets Few Expectations,” which continues to reflect the unique reality of our school’s early years. This score is based on data from a very small group of students, and several measures still cannot be calculated because the student sample is too limited. Important indicators such as attendance and readiness measures again reflect limited available data, which is typical for a new and growing school.

Even with these limitations, we are proud to highlight significant progress that aligns with our vision for the KTEC High School Portrait of a Graduate. During the 2023 to 24 school year:

  • 87.7 percent of our students successfully earned college credit through dual enrollment
  • 91.2 percent of our students earned at least one industry-recognized credential

These gains represent continued growth from our first year and reinforce our commitment to preparing students with real skills and for future college and career opportunities.

ACT scores remain based on a very small group of students and do not fully represent the broader KTEC High School experience. While the ACT is not the central measure of our educational model, we are continuing to support skill development in English Language Arts and mathematics. This year, students have additional time built into their schedules for targeted skill building, supported by Aleks Math and Achieve3000, which we are continuing to use in Year 2. We are also implementing NWEA Measures of Academic Progress to strengthen individualized learning plans and better track growth over time.

As we expand our student body and collect more years of data, future report cards will offer a more complete and accurate reflection of our school’s performance. We remain committed to continuous improvement, transparent communication, and the success of every learner who walks through our doors.

We are deeply grateful to our students, families, staff, and community partners for your ongoing support. If you have questions about the DPI School Report Card or would like more information, please reach out.

Thank you for being part of the KTEC High School journey. Together, we are building a strong foundation and a bright future for our students and our community.
