KTEC Schools of Innovation has purchased the former Pick \u2019n Save building at 1901 63rd St. in Kenosha for $5 million. The 56,000-square-foot facility will be renovated to serve as KTEC\u2019s new permanent 4K\u201312 campus and is expected to open by fall 2026. Construction is set to begin in November 2025, led by local partners. Findorff is serving as the general contractor, and Partners in Design, a Kenosha-based architectural firm, is overseeing the project design.<\/p>\n

The expansion marks a major milestone for KTEC, which currently operates at 7400 39th Ave., where it leases about 40,000 square feet of space. The new campus<\/a><\/strong> will provide students with access to state-of-the-art classrooms, a gymnasium, and hands-on technical education spaces, including welding, manufacturing, construction, and transportation labs.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Together, we\u2019re ensuring that our students have access to the tools, training, and inspiration they need to become the innovators of the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>

The former grocery store, which closed in 2017, will be completely transformed into a vibrant, future-ready educational space. The school is chartered through the University of Wisconsin and continues to build strong partnerships with global and local industries and organizations, including Snap-on, Festo, Lincoln Electric, and many others, to prepare students for high-demand careers in science, technology, engineering, and manufacturing.<\/p>\n

KTEC\u2019s new location supports its mission of offering STEM-focused, college and career preparatory education from early learning through high school, giving students a pathway to develop skills that meet the workforce needs of Kenosha County and beyond.<\/p>\n

KTEC is also inviting community members and organizations to be part of this transformation. The school is currently offering partnership and sponsorship opportunities to ensure that this building and curriculum prepares students for the high-skilled technical careers.<\/p>\n
